Richard Heart: Turkey's Justice Minister confirms Istanbul detention; no court ruling yet
14 Oct 2026: Multiple independent Turkish outlets and wires (IHA, DHA, Daily Sabah, Türkiye Today, NTV, and others) report that Istanbul police Intelligence and Financial Crimes branches, with MIT support, detained Richard James Schueler (Richard Heart) and his wife at a Beşiktaş address.
He is wanted on an Interpol Red Notice requested by Finland. Interpol data and Helsingin Sanomat list the charge as aggravated tax fraud (Helsinki police suspect about €280M of avoided tax for 2 Jun 2020 to 2 Apr 2024).
Helsinki District Court remanded him in absentia on 13 Sep 2024. A Red Notice asks police to locate and provisionally hold someone; it is not a conviction.
Wires describe police detention (gözaltı), not a published court-ordered remand outcome.
As of our 15 Oct pass: no on-record statement from Istanbul police, the prosecutor, or Finnish authorities confirming the detention; Helsingin Sanomat says Finnish police did not confirm it to them.
No Finnish extradition request and no statement from Richard Heart, PulseChain, PulseX, or HEX found. The US SEC case against Schueler was dismissed on 28 Feb 2025; the SEC said on 21 Apr 2025 it would not amend.
This is a founder legal story, not a PulseChain, HEX, or PulseX contract exploit. Research snapshot from Turkish wires, Finnish press, Interpol's Red Notice definition, OpenSanctions, and US court filings.
Update
Day 3: still only reported as detained; little newly verified
16 Oct checks (Turkish and Finnish local press, available government pages, and project X accounts): no published Turkish court ruling on formal arrest, judicial control, or release; no Finnish confirmation or extradition request; no on-record Istanbul police or prosecutor statement; no statement from Richard Heart, lawyers, PulseChain, PulseX, or HEX.
He remains reported as detained (gözaltı) since 14 Oct.
Turkish agency IHA also reported that three alleged bodyguards were detained in a second Istanbul operation; that report is unofficial, names no official speaker, and its seizure figures conflict with earlier lists, so we do not treat it as settled fact.
Recirculated pre-raid social posts are not new statements from custody. Standing scam warning unchanged.
Update
Justice Minister confirms detention and seizure inventory; still no court ruling
17 Oct: Turkey's Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek posted that US citizen Richard James Schueler was caught in Istanbul and taken into custody (gözaltı).
He says the operation was under the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, run by Istanbul Police Intelligence and Financial Crimes with MİT support; Schueler and his wife were detained in Beşiktaş on 14 Oct; three people determined to be his bodyguards were also detained.
15M and ₺160,000 cash, 6 cold wallets, watches and jewellery, electronics, 4 long guns, 3 unlicensed pistols and 1,400 rounds.
He says judicial proceedings and examination of seized materials continue. Still no published formal arrest (tutuklama), judicial control, release, or extradition decision.
The minister describes the Red Notice as alleged $1B crypto-asset fraud in the US and Finland; Interpol data we can open lists Finnish aggravated tax fraud, and the US SEC civil case was dismissed in 2025.
Treat Turkey's charge wording as Turkey says, not as settled Interpol fact. No Finnish confirmation or project/lawyer statement found in this pass.
Anadolu later relayed the same text from the minister's NSosyal account.
Update
Still police detention; AA reports 9 vehicles impounded; no court ruling
18–19 Oct checks: no published Turkish court ruling on formal arrest, judicial control, or release; no Finnish confirmation or extradition request; no new Justice Ministry statement after 17 Oct.
Anadolu Agency (via Akşam and others) reports nine vehicles registered to his wife were impounded and that police processing of Schueler, his wife, and the three alleged bodyguards was still continuing.
Local press adds detail on the bodyguards that we treat as unconfirmed. Project and lawyer accounts remain silent.
Standing scam warning unchanged: ignore bail-fund, legal-fund, or seized-wallet claim links.
Update
Day 7: still detained; “released” posts are unsupported; no bail set
20 Oct checks: no new Justice Ministry statement after 17 Oct. No published court ruling, release, or extradition step. Project and lawyer accounts remain silent.
Posts claiming he has been released have no official or wire source. No court has set bail, so ignore any bail, sacrifice, or legal-fund collection.
Update
Day 8: still police detention; court-hearing posts are anonymous; no bail set
21 Oct afternoon (Manila): he is still reported in police detention. The Justice Ministry press page has no new Schueler item after 17 Oct.
No wire after 18 Oct reports a court ruling, release, or extradition step. A social post that he appeared before a judge is anonymous and unverified. No court has set bail.
A new account is promoting a Free RH token. It is not tied to Richard Heart, PulseChain, PulseX, or HEX. Ignore bail collections and that token.
369 take
This is a legal story about the founder, not a hack of PulseChain, HEX, or PulseX. Turkey's Justice Minister has now confirmed the detention on the record.
Detention is still not a conviction, and no court ruling or extradition decision has been published.
Turkey's wording about the Red Notice does not match the Finnish/Interpol tax-fraud listing we can open, or the dismissed US SEC civil case.
An official cash and cold-wallet figure raises phishing risk for fake seized-asset or bail claims. Never connect a wallet or share a seed for any of them.
Trust only long-standing official project channels you can verify yourself.
