Network is live; claims open until 1 May 2027
21 Oct: Qubic says validators approved the recovery, the network is running, and the reclaim platform is open. First funds have gone back to verified owners. org. The claim window runs to 1 May 2027.
4 (released 19 Oct) should be replaced: update the app, make a new wallet, move funds, and do not reuse the old seed. Qubic says it will never DM you first or ask for your seed.
How many of the 1,404 wallets are reimbursed is not published yet.

2. Release notes say it moves drained QU and the balances of vulnerable wallets into a secured escrow identity and freezes those identities.
That parks funds so a weak seed cannot spend them after restart. It does not by itself return coins to owners. Restart and a claims process are not announced.

A public fix proposal (qubic/wallet PR #229, opened 12 Feb 2026) that swaps in cryptographically secure seed generation is still open with no comments; Qubic's 18 Oct client fix makes the same change.

Weak wallet RNG is a seed-theft class, not a smart-contract drain. If you made a Qubic wallet on iPhone, iPad, or Mac Safari before the fix, treat that seed as weak and wait for official instructions.
Never type a seed into a checker site. Recovery decisions sit with the validator quorum; Discord polls are not binding.
